Pemberley Place retirement scheme shortlisted for Housing Design Awards
Anchor Hanover’s Pemberley Place retirement scheme has been shortlisted for the 2021 Housing Design Awards in the Project Schemes category.
Located in Beckford Drive in Bath, Pemberley Place is a mix of 72 one- and two-bedroom apartments, arranged in two and three-storey blocks of Cotswold stone, 43 apartments will be offered on a shared ownership basis, while 29 will be made available for rent. Each home is characterised by daylight, spacious interiors and includes a balcony or terrace.
Claire Anderson, Director of Regeneration and Partnership at Anchor Hanover, said:
We are thrilled that Pemberley Place has been shortlisted for the Housing Design Awards. Next year, we will be excited to launch this high-quality development, designed to combine modern comforts with classic style and all the flexibility required to meet the changing needs of people living in later life.
The development enjoys easy access to the World Heritage City of Bath, and as part of the design development, Anchor Hanover worked closely with Bath and North East Somerset Councillors (BANES) and the Bath Preservation Trust. The development combines the materials and architectural vocabulary of Bath and the surrounding countryside.
The properties at Anchor Hanover’s Pemberley Place are arranged around a secure courtyard garden which is designed to encourage sociability and neighbourliness. Other facilities include the sheltered gardens, a hairdressing salon and a sunny café at the heart of the development.
Housing Design Awards winners will be announced in July.
