Making the move

With more than 50 years of experience providing care and support to older people, Anchor know that moving to a care home is a big decision and often triggered by a life-changing event.

At Mayflower Court care home in Southampton, our warm and friendly staff are committed to helping each resident through the transition, and will meet with you to gain a thorough understanding of your needs. Our holistic approach encompasses the physical needs of each resident, as well as their emotional and psychological wellbeing. Following our assessment an individualised care plan is comprised in conjunction with each resident and their family and this is regularly reviewed to ensure we continue to meet the needs and expectations of each resident.

Our team are here to help advise you every step of the way and we encourage people, where possible, to visit on a regular basis, with their friends and family, to familiarise themselves with the home and to meet our existing residents.

Trial stays with us can also be arranged. This often helps residents feel confident that they are making the right decision for their future and build up a relationship with our team.

By the time you move in, Mayflower Court will already feel like home.
